This guide aims to change a spindle assembly for lawn mower equipment quickly, so you can get back to your lawn and garden care.
Step 1: Remove the blade and fastener
Remove the blade (For safety, the deck drive belt is disconnected from the engine pulley and the blade is supported by a piece of wood when the fastener at the bottom of the spindle is loosened.)
Step 2: Remove the four damaged bolts
At the top of the deck, the fasteners are removed from the belt cover. The belt is removed from the top of the spindle.
Step 3: Remove the damaged spindle assembly
At the bottom of the deck, remove the 4 bolts that mount the spindle to the deck and the damaged spindle assembly.
Step 4: Replace the new spindle assembly
Step 5: Tighten the four spindle assembly
Step 6: Mount the blade and fasteners, tighten bolts
Step 7: Mount the belt
Note:
-Pulley nut must be tightened when fitting. Professional installation is highly recommended.
-If your mower blades produce weird grinding noises, have a hard time spinning or spin unevenly then you may have a problem with your spindle assembly.
-Please check OEM Part number and the size of your old spindle before purchasing, so as to prevent buying wrong and unnecessary expenses.
